Being able to produce virtual mood boards for clients – interior design clients and home staging clients – is hugely beneficial. The clients get a chance to see exactly what we are proposing in terms of a scheme before we progress further. It takes significantly less time that preparing a mood board manually and although not as effective as seeing actual samples of fabrics/wallcoverings, this online interior design service is a lower cost method of helping a client visualise a scheme. For instance, a client had a London apartment that he wanted to let out immediately after purchase. It was difficult to visit as the property was still occupied, but we needed to sort the scheme so that furniture could be ordered and available a couple of days following completion. So working from estate agents floor plans and emailed photographs, SMB Interior Design compiled a virtual interior design scheme from which the client was able to visualise the scheme and make the decision to proceed. Similarly, for a show home where the busy clients were based in London, an online virtual mood board was the best method to present a scheme quickly and effectively, and promoted a quick decision process.
